How do we become spiritually strong? If mankind never acknowledges that we are spiritual beings, we will never realize the battles we fight are of a much greater significance and are of a much deeper imputation than is apparent on the surface. In our naivety the decisions we make will be based upon incomplete information and are therefore limited in their potential. We will remain unequipped to solve our problems and be at the mercy of the dark forces at work all around us and by viewing our struggles as non-spiritual we will seek non-spiritual solutions. With all of our technological advances and our increase in knowledge, society embraces and celebrates the human spirit yet seems oblivious to the spirituality of man.
Furthermore, unless we acknowledge that we are in a war, we will never fully appreciate just how real the battles being fought are and how much impact they carry into our lives. In turn, our worldview is much more holistic when we realize that the physical realm is just one component of a much larger existence and what we say and do on earth influences our eternal destiny. Without this important ingredient, our lives are spiritually dead. Without awakening to this reality, we cannot comprehend that there are hidden forces battling to influence the outcome of our lives and of civilization. Without this fundamental understanding, we render ourselves impotent in struggles that involve our welfare and that of our friends and family.
Much of society is acutely naïve to the evil in the spiritual realms and as many seek “spiritual awakening” they venture into uncharted waters without supervision or understanding. Medium.com states, “A Spiritual Awakening, simply put, is a series of events that occur in order to align you with your highest purpose in your lifetime. The idea of the Spiritual Awakening doesn’t belong to any one religion, but certain practices do. Regardless of religious alignment, you can experience an Awakening – however through the process, you’ll naturally start to identify less with the rules and strict practices of structured religion and instead, turn to yourself and begin practices that align with your truest nature.”
The Bible says we are to test all spirits we encounter. “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.” 1 John 4:1-6.
Spiritual battles play themselves out in our physical world and individual lives. Our response creates a ripple effect that resonates out to others and ultimately has a profound effect on world events. It is no wonder that we live in a world that has forsaken God. It is because of our collective denial of God and rebellion against God’s precepts that has placed humanity in the position it is in regarding our capitulation to the cabal and ultimately to Satan. So when you contemplate the magnitude of these spiritual battles it becomes apparent that the sheer size of the spiritual realms dwarfs out planet and the human population on it by a large factor and in turn, reveals the magnitude of God since his infinite nature surpasses it all collectively.
Knowing your enemy is imperative to defeating him. Knowing the magnitude of the spiritual forces that influence the world is requisite to comprehending the totality of the delusion Satan has orchestrated in civilization. Knowing the power we have in Christ Jesus, liberates us from the deception of the devil, and frees us from the mendacity that we are insignificant pawns in a greater more meaningful theatre. John wrote that we should not fear spiritual attacks, “You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4. Furthermore, Jesus confirmed this with his proclamation that, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Mathew 28:18.
